Toinette McClellan Gunn became Executive Director of PEAK in July 2008 after having been the Executive Director for a similar mentoring and scholarship organization in Detroit, MI for seven years. Toi received her bachelors degree from Western Michigan University, a masters degree from Oakland University, and is near completion of a Ph.D. also from Oakland University. Toi is a native Chicagoan.
Tyrina Newkirk became the Program Coordinator for PEAK in August 2010. She is a graduate of Temple University where she earned a bachelor of arts degree in African American Studies. Tyrina is the product of catholic high school and understands first hand the quality of education catholic schools afford youth. |
