Welcome Class of 2021!

PEAK's incoming class of scholars officially completed Freshmen Orientation last week! We had an amazing week together and learned so much about high school and each other.

On Monday, we kicked off the week by discussing concepts like "trajectory," "payment vs investment," and "focus," and how those concepts apply to high school and PEAK. By Wednesday, our scholars felt more comfortable around each other. This made our field trip to Loyola University a blast! During the college presentation and tour, scholars asked questions and shared reactions with staff and each other.

We saw some familiar faces on Thursday, as PEAK scholars and mentors from the class of 2017 joined us for a Q&A panel. Hearing about their experiences and journey helped the freshmen understand what to expect and feel more at ease about meeting their mentor.

On Friday, our last day of Orientation, scholars felt ready to take on high school and this new PEAK mentoring relationship.

We feel so encouraged by this growth throughout Orientation, and can't wait to welcome everyone on the first day of school!
