PEAK Takes Pilsen

One thing that makes PEAK special is the uniqueness of our scholars and mentors. We celebrate and learn from differences in age, gender, ethnicity, and interests. This summer's PEAK Mentor Outing was another opportunity to learn about different cultures and a part of Chicago's history as scholars and mentors toured the Pilsen neighborhood and visited the National Museum of Mexican Art. We finished off the cultural day with an authentic Mexican meal!

The event inspired mentors and scholars to visit other Chicago neighborhoods such as Greek Town and China Town. Chicago has so much to offer, and it's always a treat to learn alongside our scholars.
